We learn a lot about God and spirituality from nature. Jesus often told stories that were earthy and used seeds and dirt and wheat and such as metaphors. The garden is one of the most important symbols in our tradition. The Bible uses the idea of the garden to describe a world as a sacred temple filled with the divine Spirit of Love. In order to tend and till and cultivate this garden, we’re invited follow the path of Jesus—a path of sacrificial love—to restore connections with ourselves, each other, God, and the world around us.
