We’ve been delving into how to foster positive transformation and build resilience in times of trouble. We’re learning to nestle into the darkness—to cozy down like a baby bird into a nest and let God tend to us. Using the story of Jesus and Nicodemus, we talk about the incubation period that precedes birth. If you’re going to truly be born, then you have to spend significant time in a womb; in darkness, vulnerability, and in being held in stillness and sung over by the people waiting for your arrival. It’s a process of being incubated and learning to trust God and rest when things are hard or confusing.
