REORIENTING FAITH

This class is for those of us in a process of rethinking significant aspects of previously held faith perspectives. We come in a state of dynamic tension with previously held beliefs. We may know what we don’t believe anymore, and we’re in the process of articulating what we do. We may share some common experiences, but each path is also its own.

Reorienting Faith was a monthly virtual class (Jan–Apr 2022) held Sundays after church via Zoom, and was available to anyone who is rethinking significant aspects of faith, believe, and practice (often called deconstruction). Specific dates and topics are listed below along with class notes, and video and audio recordings.

Class Format

• Welcome by Moderator
• 5 minute “How I’ve Navigated the Reorienting Faith Path” Story
• 30 minute Topical Content Presentation
• 20 minute Discussion (not recorded; questions, comments, etc.)

One-On-One Conversation Partners Option

We have a team of people who have navigated significant deconstruction or faith re-orientation over the years. Each is willing to engage in email or phone/Zoom conversation with individuals from the class who would like someone to talk to about their own process.

Overall Approach

This class is not focused on telling participants how to think, but offering information, perspectives and resources to help participants navigate their own reorienting faith perspectives.

To receive a Zoom invite, email us with your name and location (feel free to share any details about your interest in the class) and we’ll add you to an email group for more details about each session, and a Zoom invite for each session on Sunday morning.
